As you know, I've been struggling to learn to knit over the last year or so. Needless to say, I would have never made it (or have started at all!) without the help of my very patient mother, who has picked out my mistakes upteen times, and assurred me that I someday, indeed, it would click. Thanks, Mom!
While I'm still afraid of non-square projects (read - sweaters!), I have reached the point where I am very, very comfortable with simple knit/purl patterns. So comfortable, in fact, that I've decided to write a few dish cloth patterns on my own! I'm not vain enough to put any restrictions on it....please feel free to reproduce as you will.
My first design is of a little apron, or dress, depending on how you want to think of it. I hope you enjoy it!

What a darling dish cloth. And, I really like sharing patterns so we can all make a go at them. :) Thanks!
Woo hoo! I have no clue how to knit, but I rejoice in your total talentedness! The cloth is adorable!
Good on you - it's very cute! You know, I always used to get my mother to undo my mistakes, but then she got sick and passed away and I suddenly was left to fix my own mistakes and I totally panicked! In the end, I managed to learn how though... keep persisting, you'll get there. Today I'm told I knit just like her (high compliment)! Sadly I don't do a lot of knitting now though.
It is so cute! I never learned how to knit so none of what you said made any sense to me so I'm glad you posted a picture. It truly amazes me that you can do that!
It looks very cute! Your perserverance paid off:) And, you are welcome!!
